CHANGE!  As a Christian you have had to embrace change from the moment Jesus Christ came into your life.  Prayerfully, You are now living the exchanged life. At first glance this may seem like a position that lacks power, but owe no, this day to day surrender empowers you to experience Jesus Christ living through you in every area of your life.  The exchanged life positions you, the Christian (who has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord) to conquer any habits that are impeding your personal or business growth. 

The Christian who chooses to live the exchanged life, believes that God’s word is the success road map, and is willing to surrender, sacrifice, walk by faith, and persevere, to be A Change Agent, a World Changer, a History Maker.

The more I hear about the keys to success, how to move towards your destiny, and to live your dream, the more it confirms in my heart that it is time.  It’s time for a movement.  “A Christian Success Movement."

Now you and I both know there is no such thing as a Santa Clause or Tooth Fairy easy business or personal life success plan.  Believe me, not only have I tried them all, I have talked to a number of the founders and inventors of the “Success Talk” infomercials and products.  Most of them have some authentic testimonies of customer success from using their systems.

However, for every 100 products purchased, you may only have 2 success stories.  Why only 2%?  Because very few of their customers were willing to actually change their behavior.

Furthermore, of that 2% I have found no reports, of what we call Christian Success, and I strongly believe this is because the product is providing the Christian with an incomplete business life model. 

Let me explain, when I say that the success talk systems of our day are incomplete.  What that means is most of the products or systems have a message that is usually only about the money, and although Christian Success will provide you with all the resources and or money that is necessary for you to fulfill your calling, one of my concerns with Christian’s buying into the Success Talk Content is that you may gain the the money and lose your family.  Or you gain the money and you have no purpose connected to the money.  Or you buy into the  promises of the money, and lose everything else in the process and still don’t get the fulfillment that you were seeking. 

That’s not success.  Yet, many Christians can be found among the purchasers of the get rich in a box phenomenon.  Now, do you see why it is so important for you and I to RISE and begin to produce content that Christians can utilize to reach their dreams and destiny.  It is clear to me the reason why Christians are purchasing the Success Talk information that is available today, is because they have no better content available for them to choose from. 

Let me let you in on a little secret.  The secret to getting rich quick, is still a secret.  It does not exist.  It will always be a secret that eludes you until you realize that it is a myth.  Of all the successful people I have known, I have not met one who did not take time to master the personal challenges and habits necessary to build the success they desired.

If you want to experience success in your personal and business life, you have to put in the time, and then the rewards will be outstanding.  You are able at this point to maintain the changes required for success by submitted your will to the power of God in your life.  I sure hope you realize you cannot ultimately reach the levels of success that you are looking for apart from a Holy God.  Statistics show when it comes to self-improvement and success strategies, only a small percentage will stop talking about change and start implementing change. 

This should not be an issue for Christians, Christians should be excited about the possibilities for success.  Listen to what   Ephesians Chapter 2: verses 8-10 says "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  For we are His workmanship , created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Once you connect your passion for Christ with your gifts and talents, and begin to express yourself in a purposeful way, the success will flow; the systems will fall right into place.  It is time for you to embrace the change, It is time for you to embrace the process, and that is the real secret of your ultimate success.

Success Talk’s Motivation

Today, “Success Talk” is very popular and profitable.  And frankly, “Jesus” is not a good sell for most of the nation.  In other words “Success Talk” is big money, as long as you leave out the name of Jesus.  Our society wants to omit the true source of the time tested success principles and promises – that you will find in the Word of God, the bible.  The principles within this wave of Christ-less “Success Talk” lack the spiritual power necessary to be sustaining and/or eternal in their value.

This leaves the person who has bought into the: “you can do it yourself”, “create your own dream life”, and “get rick quick scheme” movements, on a continuous roller coaster ride thru life.  They set themselves up, time and time again, for the inevitable disappointment of a never-ending search for the peace that continues to elude them. 

For example, I know you have seen and heard and maybe even gotten caught up in the frenzy of buying your dream system, dream product, and/or attending the 1 hour seminar in a box for $99.  This is how the scenario usually plays itself out.  You get introduced to a way to make extra money, retire in a year, be a millionaire in 90 days, or some infomercial or seminar that is setup in a similar way.  Maybe even one of your friends, involved in a Multi-Level Marketing Group, invites you to a presentation… you know the drill. 

So you are excited, you have been emotionally moved to action, you buy the product, sign up for the system, you begin your dream life.  Now, you charge out of the gate, focused and ready to change your world and everyone else’s that will listen.  You actually take action, possibly even make a little money. 

Then the reality sets in, that this is going to take some time, obstacles begin to show up, and this is where most people give up, saying things like “I should have never done this in the first place”, “I knew this was a scam”, “how could I have made this mistake”.  Then discouragement and possibly even depression sets in and the cycle ends.  Only until the next dream system or infomercial, etc… grabs your emotional attention and lands you back on that roller coaster ride all over again.

You see, once you reach that point in the cycle that calls for a change in behavior, a change in habits, a change in attitude; you begin to have what I once heard someone refer to as “Laziness Withdrawal”.  This is the point where you have to choose whether you will turn back to old habits, or press thru to establish new routines and behaviors.  If you decide to press thru, now you have hope. 

The scripture says in Romans 5:5 "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

Keep in mind, the key to this scripture is your hope has to be connected to God first; then it moves into your business and personal life. 

Christian Success at its foundation is rooted in love for Jesus Christ and daily moving in a mindset that glorifies him.

It is time! time for Christian Leaders to rise up and produce content. Christian Success Content that is authentically, biblically, based.  The success content written by today’s “Success Talk” gurus has to be filtered by Christians, thru a biblical world-view, before it can be applied.  This usually takes time, effort and discernment, and should not be necessary seeing that there are Success principles already outlined throughout the scripture. 

The Christian Community must begin to package authentic, biblically-based, Christian success content, so we no longer have to keep “eating the meat of the success talk information, while spitting out the bones”.  All you have to do is look around, people each day in the “Success Talk” community are building influential platforms, and have been able to reach millions of people with their message.  But please realize, Christian’s are not the market that this content is ultimately targeting.

Anyone that is spiritually discerning realizes that this content can only take you but so far before you end up unfulfilled and disillusioned if you apply the principles in their literal form.  It is time for Christian thought leaders to utilize the influential platforms, already in place, to provide the Christian believer with authentic faith-based media content, in a variety of formats.

The Ultimate Goal of Christian Success

First, the ultimate goal for the Christian Life is to love God, depend upon Him, love your neighbor as yourself, and share your joy with the world thru your called and gifted avenues of expression.

Mathew Chapter 22, verses 37-39  Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”  

Secondly, God wants you to live the life He has ordained for you to live, while thirdly, your life should influence and be a blessing to the world around you.  Proverbs 22:4 says "By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life." 

You see, this is what makes today’s Success Talk so Incomplete.  Just a little scripture-based discernment should enable you to realize that the familiar “Success Talk” expressions, which are saturating our society, will always drop Jesus Christ from the success formula.  The terminology that continuously flows through our mediums of exchange are not in any way pointing to Christ. 

For example, expressions such as: “the road map to success”; “the secret to your happiness”; “the doors to open”; and “the keys to the life of your dreams have  simply taken the biblical manuscript, repackaged it in a catch phrase, or an emotion driven headline, without Jesus Christ anywhere to be found.  In most cases the author has no idea what the bible has to say about success. 

So in essence, from a Christian or Biblical world view, this content will always lack the power to ever be completely fulfilling.  It has a form of godliness, but lacks the power.  

Furthermore, many of the “Success Talk” gurus speaking and writing today claim no authentic faith-oriented backgrounds.  These thought leaders appear to base a lot of their information on other authors they have read; topics they have researched; and theories they have learned.  So on a positive note the content written by these gurus appears to be authentic in nature.  The authors seem to earnestly believe in what they are teaching, and I must say I do respect them for their diligence and commitment to produce content and information that will encourage their sphere of influence. 

That is great for them, but bad for us.  The solution for our dilemma is the production of Christian Success Content, As Christian Success Thought Leaders Arise!  So remember our ultimate goal of Christian Success is to love God will all our hearts, our souls, and our minds, and then express that love thru our unique personal and business lives.
